Job Summary:
The ABA Therapist is responsible for providing one-on-one behavioral interventions to children and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. The therapist will implement customized behavior plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to improve communication, social skills, and daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement evidence-based interventions based on ABA principles as directed by a BCBA.
- Collect and record accurate data on client progress during therapy sessions.
- Assist in the development and updating of behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Foster a positive learning environment to promote client engagement and learning.
- Teach and reinforce communication, social, and functional life skills.
- Conduct therapy sessions in various environments, including home, school, and community settings.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in regular team meetings, training, and supervision sessions.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred).
- RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience working with individuals with ASD or developmental disabilities is an asset.
- Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if sessions are conducted in multiple locations).

- Knowledge of ABA principles and techniques.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors safely and effectively.
- Excellent data collection and documentation skills.
- Empathy, patience, and sensitivity to client needs.
- Adaptability to meet client-specific behavioral goals.
Work Environment:
- This role may require physical activity, including kneeling, sitting on the floor, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- May involve travel to client homes, schools, or community settings.
- Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
