Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic advising and career counseling to students based on their goals and academic performance.
- Assist students in selecting courses and developing academic plans in line with graduation requirements.
- Monitor student progress and intervene with support strategies as needed.
- Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions.
- Coordinate with faculty and administration to address students academic or personal challenges.
- Stay updated on educational trends, degree programs, and institutional policies.
- Guide students through college admissions or transfer processes when applicable.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Proven experience as an academic or guidance counselor.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with educational systems, assessment tools, and student information systems.
- Empathy and a genuine interest in student development.
