Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain and update general ledger and sub-ledgers
- Prepare journal entries and ensure all entries are properly recorded
- Support audit activities and provide required documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial data
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or senior staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 13 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (internships count)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA candidate or plans to pursue CPA certification
- Experience in a corporate or mid-sized company environment
- Familiarity with tax filings and compliance processes
Work Environment:
