Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development and Fundraising Manager to drive growth through strategic partnerships, donor relations, and funding opportunities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business prospects, building lasting relationships, and securing funding from diverse sources including grants, donors, sponsors, and investors.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue and market expansion.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve long-term business growth.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients.
  • Develop proposals, presentations, and pitches to secure partnerships or contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Programs, Finance) to align business strategies.

Fundraising

  • Design and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify and approach potential donors, grant-making institutions, corporate sponsors, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Manage the full cycle of fundraising: prospecting, proposal writing, grant submission, donor engagement, and reporting.
  • Build and maintain a robust donor database and CRM system.
  • Organize fundraising events, campaigns, and donor recognition initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and financial fundraising standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Development Studies, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, fundraising, or partnerships (preferably in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations).
  • Proven success in securing funding from various sources.
  • Strong proposal/grant writing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and strategic thinker.
  • Proficiency in CRM and project management tools is an asset.
